I'm Gina "Jet" Ortiz and I'm a professional makeup artist and photographer.

I've been a photographer my entire life, quite literally, since I was a small child. I also had a passion for makeup but I wasn't especially good at it until I went to school. I received my makeup training at the world-famous Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in 2005 with a diploma in "Makeup for Film and Television."

I started my small business doing makeup and photography for transgender women in 2000 while I was in college for Pre-Med. I was diagnosed with breast cancer right before I was about to transfer to UCLA Medical and it put me on a different course entirely.

When I finished my treatment nearly two years later, I had no interest in continuing my medical education, opting for a career in makeup & photography instead. I knew that I could help people in ways that are just as important as medically. Since then I have helped hundreds (maybe thousands!) of transgender women face the world with confidence, allowing them to transition into the person they were always meant to be.

I volunteered my makeup services to women who were battling cancer when I finished my own treatment and have never forgotten how good it felt to see the ladies smile when they looked into the mirror. I decided that it was time to bring my teaching expertise to the healing community once again!
